This is a brick-and-mortar store.
About this store: Iris Records is very proud to carry all genres and aims at being a complete old-fashioned retail vinyl store. That means that you can find Clash and Metallica records here, but also Connie Francis, Johnny Cash, Mozart, Madonna. We are archival in our approach and stock very clean, well-selected records for our customer base. At the same time, we have also offer expensive psychedelic rock, classic jazz, rare hiphop in the store. Our two dollar sections (all genres) are filled with quality vinyl. And we get new records all the time! Check us out. We have something for everyone...
"A sweet store under the beautiful stars. Are we fiddling as Jersey City burns? Who buys recorded music these days? Well, enough people seem to because we are quite open and quite optimistic. Iris Records serves the local community and beyond with kind service, a wonderful store atmosphere, and of course great records and CDs. Known in Tokyo, Paris and Montreal (and now Rio and Manila as the record-obsessed world continues to expand), we are quite proud of what we do. Stop by the pharmacy on Brunswick Street or come hang with us at the Grove Street PATH on Fridays. We are all about JC as it morphs on and on.
We don't specialize in one musical genre. Rather, we love quality and price and all genres. The idea is have a local spot that you love to visit, where you never know what's next, where you get treated well. 2012 will bring in-store live concerts, more connection with the community, and probably more records in the $1-$10 range than you've ever seen. Of course we will stock rock and punk and soul and jazz and hiphop, but also new release vinyl, choice CDs, plenty of two dollar LPs to keep everyone busy. We continue to hone our sources and create strategic alliances. Iris will continue to sponsor and promote "record riots." A promise: it will all work for the customer in the long-run. This life is far too much fun."
